If Your School Has a DECA Chapter
Great news! You're just a few steps away from joining a community of like-minded, motivated students. Here’s how to get started:
Talk to your school’s DECA chapter advisor. This is usually a marketing, business, or CTE teacher at your school.
Attend a chapter meeting to learn more about what your chapter does.
Pay your membership dues. Your advisor will walk you through the process.
Get involved! Choose competitive events, attend conferences, run for office, and make the most of your membership.
If you’re unsure who your chapter advisor is, ask your school’s marketing or business teacher or CTE office.
If Your School Does Not Have a DECA Chapter
No DECA chapter yet? You can help bring one to your school! Here’s what you can do:
Talk to a teacher or staff member who might be interested in serving as your DECA chapter advisor. A marketing, business, or CTE teacher is a great place to start.

Reach out to Tennessee DECA. We’re happy to talk with your teacher and provide information they need to get started.
