Chapter of the Year

Tennessee DECA is proud to recognize one outstanding chapter each year with the prestigious Chapter of the Year award. This honor celebrates the hard work, creativity, and dedication of local chapters that go above and beyond to advance DECA’s mission and create meaningful impact in their schools and communities.

Overview

  • Deadline: February 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. CT

  • Eligibility Period: Chapter activities and initiatives considered for this award must take place between April 2024 and February 2025. Planned activities for February may be included if clearly defined.

  • Recognition: The Chapter of the Year will be recognized during the State Career Development Conference.

Categories

The Chapter of the Year award is based on the following categories:

  • Advocacy: Promoting DECA to local stakeholders and community partners.

  • Community Outreach: Creating meaningful impact through service and engagement.

  • Membership: Growing and retaining a strong, active chapter.

  • Innovations: Demonstrating creativity and new approaches in chapter operations.
