Sandra Askew Memorial Scholarship
The Sandra Askew Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of longtime DECA advisor Sandra Askew, whose passion for education and unwavering support of her students left a lasting impact on the Tennessee DECA community. She served as the DECA advisor at Whitehaven High School for 20 years and was awarded Tennessee DECA’s highest honor, the Honorary Life Membership Award, in 2020. We celebrate her extraordinary contributions and continue to embrace her legacy of leadership, wisdom, and kindness.
This scholarship is awarded to one outstanding DECA advisor who demonstrates exceptional leadership, dedication, and a commitment to fostering student achievement in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. It provides financial assistance to help the recipient continue their work as an educator and mentor, encouraging innovation, integrity, and excellence in the classroom and beyond.
Eligibility:
Be a current Tennessee DECA chapter advisor.
Actively contribute to the success of students through DECA programs, activities, and leadership development.
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
