Our Educational Conferences

    District Career Development Conferences

    Held across the state, these conferences serve as the qualifying events for state-level competition. Over 2,900 student members and advisors participated.

    State Career Development Conference

    Tennessee DECA’s capstone conference brings together members for competition, leadership development, and recognition. Over 3,500 student members and advisors attended.

    International Career Development Conference

    This culminating experience connects DECA members from around the world through competitive events, workshops, and networking. More than 750 Tennessee members participated.

    Held across the state in the fall semester, these conferences focus on leadership development, career readiness, and peer connection. Over 350 members and advisors attended statewide.

    Chapter Officer Leadership Training

    This training equips local chapter officers with the tools to lead effectively and build strong, engaged chapters. Nearly 75 student members and advisors participated.

    Career and Technical Education (CTE) Alignment

    Tennessee DECA supports the goals of CTE by reinforcing classroom instruction with experiential learning and career exploration. Our chapters are embedded in CTE programs of study, ensuring students gain relevant, real-world skills and exposure to future opportunities.

    Workforce Pipeline Development

    Through industry partnerships, hands-on programming, and exposure to a variety of careers, Tennessee DECA strengthens the future workforce pipeline in Tennessee. Students build connections with professionals, explore postsecondary options, and gain practical insight into their chosen fields.
